384/1,825: The Biggest Moment in History

A phone call from the Huffington Post can change everythig. As I hussle to gather the information for a solid press packet and answer some of the toughest questions any nonprofit must (though often never does), I scarf down gummie bears and prepare for a long night at 36545.matheggem.com. Celebrating the opportunity to make a great first impression and loving life, one day at a time.

377/1,825: Office Tour sans Palin

Pre-P.S. Today’s video has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Sarah Palin. But, you get a tour of my office… and some T.M.I. too!

The free-writing excitement was two fold: 1) write the fact and 2) allow the disconnect. I choose the topic of Palinography, that is my creative explorations of the great Grizzly, and why I have yet to actualize the form of this project… other than vlog posts, e.g.

FREE-WRITE (semi-unedited)
Why have I not produced on Palinography? Because its not about Palin, but about embracing something that our community cannot. What I’ve learned about Palin, though, is that people are more complex than we’d imagine. Palin is Strange. Palin is Complex. Palin is a woman and a human. And, Plain deserves respect that any human deserves. And, Palin, like all others, should be held accountable for their actions and the media will do what they do. As for a querying (queerness) of Palin, Im not sure that ti’s possible other than [see] the values I’ve just mentioned. If we are demanding respect from others as we do ourselves, then we must be absolute in our conviction to upholding that value structure [unconditional]. But, as I’m coming to understand, values do not exist in a vacuum. Palin is a human. As all humans deserve that recognition of their humanity. But, Palin is something else too — And, I’m still not sure what that is, because I haven’t seen just information to curtail my opinions. Perhaps I need to start listening to the other side [more]… Palin is not the enemy! We are!

332/1,825: Publicly Speaking Palin

Who knew that I could give an Introduction to Public Speaking presentation with as little as one hour of preparation… Well, I guess that 36545 has helped me in that arena. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned about Public Speaking is that it is mostly just a conversation… and we are engaging in the form any time we open our mouths in the public space. Nonetheless, from crazies throwing chairs at Starbucks to Sarah Palin’s way into my creative being, today was a strange and diversified day. Lots of movement, as always, at http://36545.matheggem.com

328/1,825: The Landmarks of Previous Labours

Thanks for joining me on Day 328. We are so very close to one complete year of videos — and thank you for joining me on this journey. In summation, today’s video includes notes on moving to New York, my relationship with Movement Research, and… Somebody is a member of an Award Winning Nonprofit… Can you guess? HINT: I wrote the application. So happy to see the fruits of one’s labor making marks on the world. Plus, it’s about time for some reallocation of resources. 322/1,825: No before you go, Try before you buy

Are you holding yourself accountable for your work that you do? That’s the question that tackles my mind. As such, it’s a Wednesday Hump Day and boy was it full of gettin’ things done. From an acute mastery of Excel to establishing Performance Measurement Systems, I’m engaging with content on a more longitudinal perspective and growing the better for it. Enjoy a wrap up the day at http://36545.matheggem.com. Plus, My Tip of the Day: Don’t live off the Get-it/Spend-it Mindset; escape your patterns by relying on another systems and stick it to the man, a.k.a. The Bank.

308/1,825: A Monkey Bar Moment

I think my eyes explain it all and the brain’s fried by questions of cash flow. All I can offer in today’s space is…Tip d’Jour: Give your self space to be inspired and take care of you. There are moments when you are asked to give, and moments when you are open to get. But, don’t forget to give to you too. So, happy living at http://36545.matheggem.com

292/1,825: Sustainable Living in 2011

2 QUESTIONS D’JOUR:
Why do you give money?
What is the motivation to donate and what kind of an impact are you having on somebody’s life? Yes, the children are our future, but what about the sustainability of their own homes, their families? That said, I begin reading ‘The Turning Point’ and plan for 2011 under the general theme, Sustainability. What is your theme for 2011? Getting life right at http://36545.matheggem.com
