340/1,825: Glossy Lips Lawsuit

A day like any other day, I spent the bulk of it all helping Sharon get ready for Valentine’s Day deliveries… One of my favorite parts of the year. After, I traveled throughout the BK to meet up with fellow queer art organizers to plan for some Norwegian’s and talk a little Sarah Palin. Life is non-complain-able at http://36545.matheggem.com — and thank you for sharing your insights in the shifts.

So, keep creating and changing the macro cosmos, one micro at a time at http://36545.matheggem.com– plus a special Valentine’s Day song from Sweet Rose.

334/1,825: Life Lessons and Shifting Forms

After a collective sigh, we make a choice: to go home. And yet, how many of us leave work to go home and work some more? Oh my, how things have changed since childhood memories… but as a friend said today, “You can’t escape Palin.” Otherwise, everything is exactly as I want it to be… and I believe that when you want what you want, you’ll get what you want…. But do you really want what you want? Oh, the questions that are http://36545.matheggem.com

P.s. does the sound delay bother you?… It’s one of those unfortunate realities of video encoding… trying to figure it out… danke, nonetheless.

322/1,825: No before you go, Try before you buy

Are you holding yourself accountable for your work that you do? That’s the question that tackles my mind. As such, it’s a Wednesday Hump Day and boy was it full of gettin’ things done. From an acute mastery of Excel to establishing Performance Measurement Systems, I’m engaging with content on a more longitudinal perspective and growing the better for it. Enjoy a wrap up the day at http://36545.matheggem.com. Plus, My Tip of the Day: Don’t live off the Get-it/Spend-it Mindset; escape your patterns by relying on another systems and stick it to the man, a.k.a. The Bank.

312/1,825: Get Things Done Mode

A productive weekend with two completed websites (which I’ll share with you once the DNS Servers catch on…) and a QAI Promotional video. Plus, things with Michael in the working sense of clearing up and a little bit of business planning with Co-Worker, Darin W. Such as life at http://36545.matheggem.com

And… my email, so finely crafted, requesting support — from you too :-)

In Sustainable & Creative Solidarity – A Message from Queer Art Impact

Hello Dear Friends, Colleagues, Collaborators and Artists.

This one’s for you.

As you may well know, I’ve started an arts organization with a dear friend and fellow arts engineer, Shalonda Ingram, called Queer Art Impact. The Mission of Queer Art Impact (QAI) is to explore the intersections between arts, politics, and action. We aim to bring together individuals and organizations to engage on the topic of queerness and generate opportunities for creative sustainability – through performances, panel discussions, collaborative projects, and by consulting individual queer artists in building their capacity.

Last season, we launched this initiative in full force with the Fall Festival Come As You Are: NYC – A Celebration of Queer Sex. It was an amazing week that reached more than 300 audience members and supported a total of 30 artists. We participated in a national initiative, spear-headed by Boston’s Theater Offensive, and received support from The Arcus Foundation, Babeland Toys and Columbia University’s Intercultural Resource Center, to name a few. Not bad for the inauguration.

Support does come in many forms. And, this year I would love your attention – and attendance – as we grow stronger than ever.

QAI is officially in 2011 and looking forward to a suite of exciting events. We are in the midst of Strategic Planning and Programming and are about to kick-off the season with Cabaret Cataplexy’s Songs of the South followed by the premiere of a Queer Cultural Icon, one of the original Cockette’s, Rumi Missabu in A COCKTAIL OF GLAMOUR & ANARCHY.

Here’s the “for you” moment. We know that times are hard and cash is low. As such, I am providing you with the discount codes to attend Songs of the South on Monday, January 24, 2011.

Now through Tuesday, January 11th at Noon:
Get your $10 Tickets online and save $5 with discount code: CCfamily

Tuesday of this week through Thursday, January 13th:
Missed the $10 Tickets? You can still save $3 with the discount code: CCfamilyFinal

To use the discount codes, purchase tickets online at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1131740065/

I hope that you can attend one of the two upcoming events above; and, that you will continue to follow QAI as we prepare for a public broadcast series with artist Charlie Demos, a re-visioning of the spring festival Gay Wars, an UNconference on Arts and Politics, and finally our fall festival.

308/1,825: A Monkey Bar Moment

I think my eyes explain it all and the brain’s fried by questions of cash flow. All I can offer in today’s space is…Tip d’Jour: Give your self space to be inspired and take care of you. There are moments when you are asked to give, and moments when you are open to get. But, don’t forget to give to you too. So, happy living at http://36545.matheggem.com

And, in case your curious… Here’s the lastest vlog from The Bookkeeping Center… my other internet life.
