We made it. Gay Wars was a complete success. Even bigger than last year, we managed to pull it off by presenting more artists, having more events, and producing things such as t-shirts, working with volunteers, etc. WoW! So, today was all about learning to ask for money. I’m still working on my skills and, granted, role-playing works best with a second person. Nonetheless, here’s an example of what most of my day was like…. Practicing to cultivate relationships and ask for money! Finally, I wrapped it up with a touch-base amongst the QAI team — Shalonda, Lauren and I, met up for beers after the event at Abrons Arts Center on ‘Starving Artists’ vs. Entrepreneurs.
