589/1,825: Pale Face Turn-a-round

I made it out of bed today! Mostly, because I had a meeting that would not have been cancelable… Is that a word? Well, I also had a new recruit come into the office today and needed to get him setup on some things. Otherwise, trust me, I would have been sleepin’ like I did the day before. Said and done, all it took was some of my favorite soup, Tomato Basil with Rice, and some Sourdough bread, to change my pale face to a sustainable 5 o’clock shadow. But by the time 8hrs of semi-productivity hit, the construction workers clocked in & started pounding on my forehead. So off to bed I am, on 36545.matheggem.com — and tomorrow, I shall awake a 27 year old man!

588/1,825: Sick Man Speakeeezzz

It’s not always easy to talk about things that you are uncertain about. Sometimes, instead, you focus on the other aspects of your life – the great things that happened at work, or the partying you did over the weekend, etc. But, eventually, in an attempt to be open and transparent you either, a, start talkin’ or ,b, are called out on it and start talkin’… either way, it’s all bound to come out on 36545.matheggem.com.

365/1,825: End of Year One

Hey, eating a bowl of chili and cheetos after beers with a few friends… mind you this was now 2am, I close up the day and the end of year one of 36545… but wait! This is a SPECIAL, UNIQUE, AWESOME VIDEO… yes, we have four guest appearances shot on the streets of NYC!

Nonetheless, it has been a wonderful learning experience and a constant challenge (today’s video, case in point). And, I feel that though there are so many wonderful things happening in my life, a bit of focus is necessary. Perhaps a weekend in D.C. and some rest will aid…

Whether this focus is found or not, I thank you for staying tuned, through good and bad, to 36545.matheggem.com.

350/1,825: Another world beyond Technology

What would you do if Facebook disappeared? It’s a reality that I’m left pondering in the realm of social media co-dependency. All the more so, we are blessed by the tools that are empowering a queer generation and nonetheless concerned that we may be lost when technology (inevitably) fails. Shifting gears into March Mode and the end of year one of http://36545.matheggem.com — Thanks for stickin’ the Journey.

36545 Day 325: Click to display Images, anyone… anyone…?

The Only Gay in the Village! One Part Workforce Development and Two Parts Queer Arts equals my day on 325. I started with a LinkedIn 101 training session for the participants at The Bookkeeping Center. After, I returned home to tackle some QAI stuff. But alas, I am left pondering at the end of the day, “Is the queer community in NYC too safe for it’s own solidarity?” Plus, a few memories of my childhood LGBT youth group — living the life at http://36545.matheggem.com

307/1,825: Hate Mail a la YouTube

The ultimate contrast between my such comments as “Slow and Steady wins the race,” or “Life is Worth Living” and “Half of Life is what you make it,” and this comment from fellow YouTuber, 13AJJONES:

“YOU SICK FUCKING FAGGOTS ! WHY DO YOU INSIST ON PUSHING YOUR GAYNESS INTO MY FACE ? I DONT GO AROUND SPEAKING IN A DEEP MANLY VOICE, AND MAKE PUBLIC DISPLAYS, TO PUSH MY STRAIGHTNESS ON YOU. WHY DO YOU THINK I SHOULD BE MADE TO ACCEPT YOU DISGUSTING ACTIONS.
WHILE YOU PURPOSELY LISP, AND TALK IN A HIGH VOICE, AND BEND YOUR WRIST TO SAY , “GAY IS RIGHT”.BUT ITS NOT OK TO ME ! .AND YOU CANT MAKE ME ACCEPT SUCH SICK BEHAVIOR, .
DOGS DONT KNOW THEY ARE DOING WRONG, BUT YOUR A HUMAN !
POOP IS BAD!”

All I have to say is my plan is working in the realm of Social Media!

And all because of this video…?

I made it to day 300! 56 more days and I’ve completed my first year of 36545. But on to more serious matters: What do you think of Sarah Palin? Will you vote for her in 2012? From the outskirts of Wasilla, Alaska to the hot spot inside the beltway, Guns in Hand, will she be our next Obama? All the politics and more at http://36545.matheggem.com.
